The rounded base looks heavier and more luxurious in person than in the photos, and the braided goldtone metal catches the light beautifully when I turn it on at dusk. It's my new favorite corner of the living room.

I was a little nervous the rounded base would look bulky, but it actually has a nice, balanced weight on my nightstand. The gold braided metal catches the light beautifully without being too flashy.

The braided goldtone metal around the base is the real showstopper here—it catches the light way better than I expected. Fits perfectly on my nightstand and the rounded shade gives off a nice, even glow. Only wish the cord were a bit longer, but that's a minor gripe.
